Digital creators join Bokaro's voter awareness campaign; selfie reflects a new model of public outreach
Bokaro, June 30: In a unique initiative to strengthen voter awareness, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha brought together Bokaro's popular social media creators to support the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign, aiming to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll.
A highlight of the programme at the Collectorate auditorium was a selfie of the DC with the creators, symbolising the partnership between the administration and the district's digital community. The photograph was captured by Abhishek Kumar, representative of Bokaro News Updates.
Addressing the creators, the DC said social media has become a powerful tool for public awareness and urged them to share authentic information about SIR-2026, encourage citizens to fill Enumeration Forms, counter misinformation, and promote only official Election Commission updates.
The creators will now share voter awareness messages using #JharkhandSIR, #BokaroSIR, and #BokaroSeJohar, helping the campaign reach a wider audience, particularly young voters.
The initiative reflects the Bokaro administration's innovative approach to public engagement, demonstrating how digital influence can be effectively channelled to strengthen democratic participation.
