The Township Department of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has launched a new organised parking facility at the City Centre — the heart of the city and its main commercial hub. The initiative aims to ease congestion, enhance convenience for residents and traders, and improve overall city management.
Operated by local displaced persons, the facility also promotes self-employment opportunities while supporting civic order and cleanliness. The parking system has become functional at the old City Centre, complementing existing facilities at New City Centre and Hatia. More such projects are planned soon.
The new facility was inaugurated by Kundan Kumar, Chief General Manager (Town Administration) and A.K. Singh, General Manager (TA-LRA), in the presence of officers and employees of the TA-LRA Department and several local traders.
The Township Department has appealed to shopkeepers and residents to maintain cleanliness, remove encroachments, and make use of the designated parking areas to preserve the city’s beauty and discipline.
