Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) continues its modernization drive with the introduction of Technological Painting—an advanced coating system providing long-term protection to steel structures and equipment. The new system, which includes Epoxy, Polyurethane, Zinc-rich, Acrylic PU Interthane, and Aluminium coatings, offers a strong shield against corrosion and wear under extreme industrial conditions.
This initiative enhances the life of assets, ensures safer operations, and minimizes production interruptions. With its long-lasting durability, Technological Painting significantly reduces the need for frequent repainting and maintenance shutdowns, thereby improving cost efficiency. The use of low-VOC and water-based paints further supports environmental sustainability.
Precision application techniques, including solvent and hydrojet cleaning, airless spray coating, and strict quality control tests such as DFT and adhesion checks, ensure consistent coating performance. The color-coded system also improves safety compliance and enhances the visual appeal of the plant.
