IPS Officers’ Wives Association Diwali Fair Showcases Jharkhand’s Culture and Women’s Creativity


Ranchi::The three-day Diwali Fair, organized by the Indian Police Service Officers’ Wives Association (IPSOWA) at the JAP-1 ground in Doranda, Ranchi, was inaugurated on Thursday by Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren, who jointly lit the ceremonial lamp. They also visited various attractive stalls
at the fair and appreciated the efforts of the organizers.



Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that organizations like IPSOWA create an environment of harmony, cooperation, and creativity in society. He added that such events not only inspire women towards self-reliance but also provide a platform for local artisans and self-help groups to showcase their products and skills.



MLA Kalpana Soren highlighted that the Diwali Fair is an excellent platform for women to demonstrate entrepreneurship and creativity. She praised the IPSOWA team, stating that such events promote positive energy and strengthen community bonding.



The fair featured stalls displaying local products, handicrafts, clothing, decorative items, and traditional food items. Entertainment activities, including rides for children, were also organized. The evening cultural program will include performances of local folk dances and music by regional artists.



The IPSOWA president stated that the fair will continue for three days, aiming to provide a shared platform for police families as well as the general public to participate in the festive celebrations.



The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior police officers and their families, administrative officials, IPSOWA members, and a large number of citizens.
