Shivani Sharma Takes Up Social Service, Foundation to Expand from Mumbai to Ranchi


Ranchi: Jharkhand-born actress Shivani Sharma has stepped into the social sector with the launch of the ShivaniSharma Foundation, aimed at promoting social welfare and empowerment.


The foundation was formally launched in Mumbai on August 9 under the motto “Small Step, Big Impact.” During the launch programme, laptops and sportswear were distributed among 50 children.


The foundation will focus on the empowerment of children and women, along with education, healthcare, humanitarian assistance, sports, rural development and community welfare. The distribution of laptops was aimed at helping children gain access to digital education and technology.


Shivani Sharma said every child should have equal opportunities in education, healthcare and personal growth. The foundation will also work towards promoting women’s self-reliance and extending support to children, youth and families in need.

Its areas of work will include child and women empowerment, education, healthcare, rural development, disaster management, art, culture and heritage, environmental protection and animal welfare.


The launch programme in Mumbai was attended by Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Sachin Ahir, MP Sanjay Dina Patil, Mahim Dargah and Haji Ali Dargah Management Trustee Suhail Khandwani, OOJ Foundation founder Yogi Priyavrat Animesh, social worker Ratna Bhushan and youth leader and entrepreneur Amit Tiwari, among others.


The foundation is now preparing to expand its activities in Jharkhand. A programme is expected to be organised in Ranchi soon, with more than 500 people likely to attend. For Shivani Sharma, the initiative is also an effort to reconnect with her home state and contribute to society through sustained social service.
