Ranchi: The two-day State Committee meeting of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) will be held on January 9 and 10 in Jamtara. Two Polit Bureau members of the party, Tapan Sen and Dr. Ramchandra Dom, will be specially present and will provide necessary guidelines to the organization.
CPI(M) State Secretary Prakash Viplav informed that the meeting will hold detailed discussions on the major political developments that have taken place in the state and the country since the last State Committee meeting. The current political situation will be analyzed, and future strategies will also be finalized.
He said that special deliberations will be held on the party’s role, organizational strengthening, and election strategy for the upcoming municipal elections. In addition, the party’s stand on various provisions of the PESA (Panchayats Extension to Scheduled Areas) rules notified by the state government will be clearly defined after detailed discussions.
The growing menace of elephants in several parts of Jharkhand, which has been causing serious hardship to the common people, will also be a major issue in the meeting. Concerns over crop damage, loss of life and property, and displacement of villagers will be discussed, and plans for mass movements to address these problems will be formulated.
Furthermore, a strategy will be chalked out to expose the alleged negative and anti-people agenda being pursued by the BJP in the state and to launch a widespread public outreach campaign against it.
Party leaders believe that in the present circumstances, it is essential to intensify struggles by keeping people’s issues at the center. This meeting is being considered extremely important in terms of shaping the party’s political direction in the coming days.
