Thalassemia Patients Honor Government and Legislator on Human Rights Day




Ranchi: On the occasion of World Human Rights Day, the Jharkhand Thalassemia Patients Association and Lahu Bolega Blood Donation Organization, Ranchi organized a special gratitude program at Paramveer Albert Ekka Chowk. The event was attended by children suffering from thalassemia and sickle cell disease, their family members, blood donation organizers, and social activists.



The main purpose of the program was to express gratitude for the support and sensitivity shown by the Jharkhand government. Sweets were distributed to all attendees. The highlight of the event was the honoring of Honorable MLA Pradeep Yadav with the Jharkhand Human Rights Warrior Award–2025. Thalassemia-affected children and their families presented him with bouquets, sweets, and their blessings.



During the program, the children and families expressed their gratitude to social activists and the legislator, offering their prayers and good wishes. The organizers also pledged to continue raising awareness about blood donation and supporting thalassemia patients.



This event not only highlighted the importance of Human Rights Day but also strengthened the spirit of sensitivity and support toward children and families affected by thalassemia and sickle cell disease in society.



Blood donation and thalassemia organizer Raktveer Nadeem Khan actively participated in the event. Family members of thalassemia patients included Devki Devi, Fareah Bilkis, Seema Devi, Bimla Kachhap, Lalita Devi, Leela Devi, Majida Khatoon, Tarannum Praveen, Ajit Kumar Mishra Pandit Ji, and Sanjay Mahto. Children who participated included Sonam Kumari, Pragati Prakash, Rabe Hasan, along with members of the Lahu Bolega organization Sazid Umar, Akram Rashid, Ravi Das, and Buland Akhtar.
