Ranchi: The meeting of Hatia Mazdoor Union (CITU) was held at the union office today. The union leaders accused the management of tampering with earlier agreements and making unjustified cuts in already approved benefits. The union stated that as per the resolution passed on October 15, 2025, the management was supposed to convene a meeting within one month to finalize all pending matters, but no action has been taken so far.
The union has demanded immediate resolution of the long-pending issues of permanent and supply workers, including restoration of VPF deductions, payment of earned leave, promotion of the 18th batch, regularization of long-serving supply workers, equal pay for equal work, and payment of pending Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) and bonuses.
The union warned that if the management fails to call the meeting and take decisions soon, workers will be forced to launch a wider agitation.
Union leader Bhawan Singh alleged that a few non-registered groups are creating confusion among workers, whereas Hatia Mazdoor Union (CITU) is the genuine representative body safeguarding their interests.
The union has appealed to all workers to unite and strengthen the collective struggle under the banner of CITU.
