High-Level India–UAE Bilateral Meeting on Defence Cooperation Held in Dubai

In a significant step toward strengthening defence cooperation between India and the United Arab Emirates, India’s Minister of State for Defence Shri Sanjay Seth held a high-level bilateral meeting in Dubai with the UAE’s Minister of State for Defence Affairs Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei. The meeting is being viewed as an important milestone in advancing the strategic partnership between the two nations.




During the discussions, both leaders agreed on the need to further streamline and strengthen institutional mechanisms to ensure more effective and structured defence dialogue and coordination. They also emphasized enhancing participation in defence exhibitions and major international defence events to boost collaboration.



Shri Sanjay Seth and Al Mazrouei acknowledged the importance of accelerating ongoing cooperation in defence training and capacity building. They underscored the need for deeper exchanges in areas such as security challenges, modern technologies, and advanced military training.




A major focus of the meeting was exploring opportunities for joint research, co-development, and co-production in the defence sector. Both sides agreed that cooperation in defence manufacturing would not only deepen bilateral ties but also contribute significantly to self-reliance and the development of cutting-edge military technologies.




With decades of strong strategic and economic relations, this meeting is expected to take India–UAE defence cooperation to the next level. In the coming years, the two countries may also intensify collaboration in emerging defence technologies, maritime security, counter-terrorism efforts, and regional stability.
