Bokaro, 17 November 2025 — The district administration reviewed the progress of works underway for launching flight services at Bokaro Airport, in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha at the airport premises on Monday.
The DC noted that a major portion of the implementation work has already been completed, with only about 15 percent pending. He directed that all remaining tasks be finished within the stipulated timeline. The airport premises must be cleared of bushes and undergo full cleaning by 15 December, he added.
Emphasising fire-safety readiness, the DC instructed officials to ensure all firefighting systems remain fully functional with regular inspection and testing. The pending boundary-wall work must also be completed on time.
The DC further directed Civil Surgeon Dr. Abhay Bhushan Prasad to complete the procurement process for a four-bed ambulance within the next 15 days. He also asked the SDO, BSL management and police officials to carry out due procedures to remove encroachments from the Elora Hostel area.
