Ranchi::Health Minister’s Surprise Inspection: “No Compromise on Standards, Action Against the Guilty”. Irfan Ansari conducted a surprise inspection of Jai Hind Pharma Medical Store in Ranchi today. During the inspection, the minister collected samples of cough syrups from various pharmaceutical companies and handed them over to the State Drugs Director. He directed that the quality of all samples be tested immediately and the inspection report be submitted without delay.

Dr. Ansari stated that the state government’s goal is to ensure that every citizen of Jharkhand receives safe, high-quality, and standard-compliant medicines. To achieve this, a special statewide campaign has been launched today, under which all medical stores, wholesalers, and drug depots will undergo surprise inspections.

The minister issued strict instructions to all drug control officers and medical store owners, warning that any irregularities, duplication, or sale of counterfeit medicines will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He further stated that if found guilty, the concerned medical store will be immediately sealed, its license canceled, and legal action will be initiated as per the law.

Dr. Ansari firmly declared, “I will not allow
anyone to play with public health at any cost.
I am working day and night to strengthen Jharkhand’s healthcare system. I appeal to all officers, medical store operators, and the public to support this campaign. Those involved in any wrongdoing should beware—strict action awaits them.”

The Health Minister also announced that drug inspection teams are being formed in every district, which will collect and test samples of cough syrups, antibiotics, and pain reliever medicines available in the market.

He directed the State Drugs Directorate to submit a preliminary report within 24 hours and a detailed report within 72 hours.
