Friends of Weaker Society Honors 315 Studentsin Grand Scholarship and Talent Felicitation Ceremony




Ranchi, August 31 — In a remarkable celebration of educational excellence, the Friends of Weaker Society, in collaboration with the American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin (AFMI), USA and Canada, hosted a Talent Recognition and Scholarship Distribution Ceremony at the Haj House, Kadru, Ranchi. The event celebrated the academic success of 315 Muslim students from across Jharkhand who secured 85% or more in the 2025 CBSE and JAC Board (Class 10 & 12) exams.

The program commenced with a soulful recitation from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Abdullah Qamar, setting a spiritual tone for the proceedings. A warm welcome was extended to chief guests, dignitaries, and attendees by executive member Khalid Khalil, followed by the presentation of the annual report by Qamar Siddiqui, Secretary of the society. Anchoring duties were efficiently managed by Khalid Khalil, Lizam Lez, Ali, and Nawazish Hasan.
Celebrating Talent, Empowering Futures
Addressing the audience, Tanveer Ahmed, President of Friends of Weaker Society, shared the vision behind the initiative:
“Our aim is to recognize student potential, honor their academic excellence, and inspire them to uplift the community and nation through education.”
Honorees received certificates, mementos, and cash prizes. Special recognition was given to board toppers, while four students who cracked NEET and JEE Main 2025 — Rahmat Safia, Armaan Ahmad, Anam Zulkarnain, and Ayat Rahman — were also felicitated.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the honoring of Tahreem Fatima, the JAC Class 10 District Topper (State Rank 6), who was presented with an advanced laptop by social worker Lutful Haque.

K. Raju, Jharkhand Congress In-charge, appreciated the organization's efforts:
“Providing financial aid to underprivileged students is commendable. It is equally important to offer career counseling and skill development to help youth access better job opportunities.”
Dr. Abdul Qadir, Director of Shaheen Group of Institutions (Karnataka), emphasized:
“Education is not just about degrees, but about becoming good humans and responsible citizens. Boys must not lag behind girls in education. Extravagant weddings should be discouraged to prioritize education.”
Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji praised the initiative:
“This organization is a pride of Jharkhand. I assure continuous efforts for resolving educational issues of the minority community.”
Shamsher Alam, Vice Chairman of Jharkhand Minority Commission, described the society as “a source of inspiration in the field of education.”
City SP Ajit Kumar said:
“Education and culture are the foundations of a good citizen and a good Muslim. When daughters are educated, entire families transform.”
DIG Palamu Naushad Alam, who also began his speech with Quranic verses, advised students:
“Every student should aim high. Often, we only honor high scorers, but even students with fewer marks but strong potential deserve encouragement. Diamonds are made by carving stones.”
Dr. Majid Alam, President of Alam Hospital and Research Centre, shared in-depth guidance on exam preparation techniques with the students.

“Students scoring 98% or above in the upcoming board exams will be awarded laptops.”
