Ranchi: On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren hosted an Iftar gathering at his official residence on Kanke Road in Ranchi. The event witnessed the presence of a large number of fasting individuals, public representatives, intellectuals, social workers, and dignitaries from various religions and communities.
Welcoming the guests, the Chief Minister said that the sacred month of Ramadan conveys the message of mutual respect, harmony, and brotherhood. He emphasized that the festival inspires people to uphold compassion, sacrifice, and service to humanity.
Extending his greetings, Mr. Soren wished for the prosperity, happiness, and well-being of the people of the state.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister, along with his wife and legislator Kalpana Soren, joined the gathering in offering collective prayers, seeking peace, progress, and communal harmony in the state. The presence of people from diverse backgrounds reflected a strong message of unity and social cohesion.
Those observing the fast offered prayers for peace and prosperity in society, the state, and the nation.
Among those present were ministers including Radha Krishna Kishore, Deepak Birua, Chamra Linda, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Hafizul Hasan, Dipika Pandey Singh, Yogendra Prasad, Sudivya Kumar, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, and Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, along with several legislators.
