Call to Organise and Raise Awareness Among Women on International Women’s Da



Ranchi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a joint programme was organised by the Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) and the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) in Ranchi. The participants strongly condemned the increasing atrocities against women and girls and expressed opposition to the policies of US imperialism.


Women from different banks and other sectors participated in the programme and shared their experiences. Speakers discussed the relevance of International Women’s Day in the present context and stressed that despite progress, women continue to face various social, economic and workplace challenges. They emphasised the need to raise awareness and strengthen collective organisation among women to safeguard their rights and dignity.



Addressing the gathering, AIDWA State Secretary Bina Linda said that incidents of violence, discrimination and exploitation against women continue to occur in society. She stressed the importance of organising women and intensifying the struggle for equality, justice and dignity.

BEFI representative Josephine Gudiya said that women’s participation in different sectors has increased significantly, but several challenges still remain at workplaces and in society. She highlighted the need for collective efforts and sustained struggles to ensure the protection of women’s rights.



During the programme, a resolution condemning the policies of US imperialism was also adopted. The speakers stated that imperialist policies across the world have contributed to rising violence, inequality and exploitation affecting women and girls.



The meeting also discussed future plans to strengthen movements for women’s rights and to organise awareness campaigns so that more women can be mobilised and involved in the struggle.



Among those present were AIDWA State Secretary Bina Linda, Josephine Gudiya, Shanta Malik, Abha, Preeti, Kriti Singh Munda, Seema Kerketta, M.L. Singh, Abhijeet Malik, Aman and several others.
