DC Ajay Nath Jha Completes Father’s Last Rites, Resumes Office with Immediate Administrative Action
Amid personal bereavement, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha completed the final rites and customary rituals following the demise of his father and returned to official duties without delay, setting a strong example of administrative responsibility.
Soon after performing the rituals, the Deputy Commissioner resumed office and took immediate action by presiding over the “Hum Aapko Sunte Hain” (Janata Darbar) at the District Collectorate. During the programme, he heard more than 34 public grievances from residents of urban and rural areas and issued clear, time-bound directions to concerned officials for prompt inquiry and resolution.
Despite the personal loss, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized continuity in public service and accountability, directing departments to ensure that citizens’ issues—related to education, health, supply, revenue disputes, DRDA, and social security—are addressed sensitively and efficiently.
His swift return to duty after completing the last rites was widely noted as a reflection of commitment to public service and people-first governance.
