Public Relations Department Tableau Wins First Prize
Bokaro celebrated the 77th Republic Day at the Police Line Ground, Sector-12, where Jharkhand’s Minister for Drinking Water & Sanitation and Excise & Prohibition, Yogendra Prasad, unfurled the National Flag and took the salute of the parade. He inspected the contingents and extended Republic Day greetings to the people.
Coalfields Range DIG Anand Prakash, CRPF DIG, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh, Deputy Development Commissioner Shatabdi Majumdar, Additional Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar, Additional Collector Md. Mumtaz Ansari, SDO Chas Pranjal Dhanda and several district officers were present.
Eleven platoons, including CISF, JAP-4, district police, Home Guards, NCC and school contingents, participated in the parade, while students of Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School presented a band display. In the parade competition, the Chowkidar (Men) platoon won first prize, followed by Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School, Chas, in second place and the District Police (Women) platoon in third place.
In the tableau competition, the Information & Public Relations Department, District Ganga Committee and Transport Department jointly secured first prize, with the Public Relations tableau receiving special appreciation for effectively portraying government schemes and citizen outreach. Education, Supply and Fisheries departments were adjudged second, while the Social Welfare Department and JSLPS won third prize.
Outstanding platoons, freedom movement veterans, sportspersons, brave children and frontline workers were honoured with shields and certificates by the Minister and senior officials. Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh and other officers also hoisted the National Flag at the Collectorate, police offices, subdivision headquarters and block offices across the district.
