Jharkhand to Showcase Industrial and Investment Potential at WEF Davos, Preparations for London Visit Reviewed




Ranchi:On January 6, 2026, a high-level review meeting was held to assess preparations for the proposed visits to Davos (World Economic Forum—WEF) and the United Kingdom (London). The meeting deliberated in detail on the objectives of the visits, the action plan, presentation strategy, and potential investment engagements.




Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, an 11-member delegation from Jharkhand will represent the state for the first time at the World Economic Forum in Davos. During the forum, the delegation will present Jharkhand’s industrial strengths, investment opportunities, vision for sustainable development, tourism potential, mineral-based industries, green energy initiatives, and startup ecosystem to international investors, industry leaders, and policymakers.



In addition, during the London visit, meetings are proposed with various industrial groups, investors, and institutions. These interactions will focus on foreign direct investment (FDI), technological collaboration, skill development, and employment generation.




The review meeting emphasized that the state government’s primary objective is to accelerate investment, industrial growth, and job creation. The government remains fully committed to positioning Jharkhand as a major investment destination by promoting investor-friendly policies, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring efficient decision-making.




Officials were directed to prepare presentations in line with international standards, clearly and effectively highlighting Jharkhand’s strengths, resources, and future development roadmap. The government is confident that the Davos and London visits will open new avenues for investment and provide fresh momentum to industrial development and employment generation in Jharkhand.
