Congress Strengthens Inclusivity, Marginalized Sections Get Decisive Representation in Election Committee

Ranchi: In a historic and progressive move towards social justice and inclusivity, the Indian National Congress has decided to include the state presidents of the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Minority departments as Special Invitee Members in the Pradesh Election Committee (PEC). Describing the decision as a landmark step, Media Chairman Satish Paul Munjani said it reflects the Congress party’s firm commitment to constitutional values.

He informed that under the leadership of Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, and with the guidance of Shri Rahul Gandhi, Shri K.C. Venugopal, Shri K. Raju, and other senior leaders, the party has issued this important directive. As per the decision, the state presidents of the SC, ST, OBC, and Minority departments will now be included as Special Invitees in the Pradesh Election Committee.

This decision will make the candidate selection process for Assembly and other elections more inclusive, fair, and reflective of real social representation. It will ensure a stronger voice for marginalized, deprived, and backward sections of society in the party’s electoral decision-making process, giving them an active and decisive role.

Satish Paul Munjani stated that this step is a living example of the Congress party’s policy of social justice, rooted in the core constitutional values of equality, justice, and inclusiveness. He emphasized that the Congress has always stood as a protector of the rights of Dalits, tribals, backward classes, and minorities, and this decision further strengthens that commitment.

On the occasion, OBC State President Abhilash Sahu, SC State President Kedar Paswan, Minority State President Manzoor Ansari, and Adivasi Congress President Josai Mardi expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi, Shri K.C.
