Ranchi: The indefinite protest by students and youth against the alleged irregularities, paper leaks, and corruption in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examinations has intensified in Ranchi. Hundreds of students have been staging a sit-in under temporary camps at Jaipal Singh Stadium, while many others have taken to the streets demanding justice, transparency, and fair recruitment.
Expressing solidarity with the agitating students, the Jharkhand State Committees of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and the Students' Federation of India (SFI) have announced that they will burn an effigy of the Jharkhand Government in Ranchi on August 5.
The organisations said the protest is aimed at extending support to the students who have been continuing their indefinite demonstration at Jaipal Singh Stadium and to press the government to address their concerns without further delay. They also announced that solidarity programmes would be organised across all districts of Jharkhand to strengthen the ongoing movement and mobilise wider public support.
DYFI and SFI have demanded that the state government immediately hold talks with the protesting youth, ensure complete transparency in competitive examinations, reform the examination and recruitment system, order an independent judicial inquiry into the alleged irregularities in recruitment processes, and initiate strict legal action against those found responsible.
The organisations maintained that the students' demands are legitimate and urged the government to resolve the issue through dialogue. They further stated that democratic protests and solidarity campaigns would continue until concrete steps are taken to restore transparency and accountability in the state's recruitment process.
