Bokaro: The birth anniversary of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren was observed in Bokaro with a restrained and respectful programme at his Sector–01 C residence in B.S. City. The observance reflected simplicity, focusing on remembrance rather than ceremony.
Minister Yogendra Prasad offered floral tributes to the portrait of the veteran leader, joined by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh, DPLR Menka, Additional Collector Md. Mumtaz Ansari, DCLR Prabhash Dutta and other officials. Together, they paid homage and recalled Shibu Soren’s enduring role in shaping social justice movements and public life.
Members of the gathering reflected on his lifelong commitment to people-centric politics and pledged to uphold the values he stood for. Adding a humanitarian touch to the occasion, blankets were distributed among the needy.
Earlier in the day, the minister was accorded a brief welcome at the Bokaro Circuit House by district officials, setting a tone of dignity and restraint for the day’s observances.
