DC’s Surprise Drive Continues, Bokaro Airport Under Sharp Watch

 


Bokaro: Stepping up on-ground monitoring, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha carried out a surprise inspection of Bokaro Airport to assess security, cleanliness, and overall preparedness. The visit is part of his recent series of unannounced inspections aimed at tightening administrative efficiency and ensuring swift execution of public infrastructure works.


During the review, the DC directed for early installation of high-mast lights, underlining the importance of proper illumination for airport safety and operations. He also ordered immediate and time-bound clearing of bushes and vegetation in and around the premises to strengthen visibility and security standards.


The Airport Authority of India and BSL management were told to complete all pending works within the set timeline. AC Mohammad Mumtaz Ansari, Civil Surgeon Dr. A. B. Prasad, DDMO Shakti Kumar, CGM (Expansion) BSL, along with AAI officials, were present during the inspection. The DC reaffirmed that upgrading Bokaro Airport with modern facilities remains a key administrative priority.
