Ranchi: On the occasion of the 140th Foundation Day of the Indian National Congress, the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee organised a statewide door-to-door flag-hoisting programme. Through this extensive campaign, the party conveyed a strong message of organisational unity, strength, and commitment to people-centric struggles.
Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh expressed gratitude to all state-level office bearers, district presidents, block presidents, and office bearers at the gram panchayat and municipal levels for the successful execution of the programme. He said that the initiative stands as a living example of the Congress party’s grassroots strength and disciplined organisational structure.
Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Alok Kumar Dubey and Chief Spokesperson Lal Kishore Nath Shahdev, in a joint statement, said that under the guidance of Pradesh Congress In-charge K. Raju and the leadership of State President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, the campaign was conducted on an unprecedented scale for the first time in the state.
They stated that Congress flags were hoisted at the residences of presidents and their 12-member committees in 4,365 gram panchayats, as well as at the homes of presidents and their 12-member committees in 1,051 wards across Jharkhand.
Under this historic campaign, more than 60,000 flag-hoisting events were carried out exclusively at the residences of selected Congress office bearers and active workers throughout the state, reflecting the party’s expanding grassroots network and active participation of its cadre.
The state leadership emphasised that this was not merely a ceremonial event, but an important milestone in Congress’s ongoing journey of struggle, public service, and organisational expansion. They reaffirmed that the Congress party’s journey will continue with greater strength and public support, and that it will raise issues of public interest more forcefully in the times ahead.
