Celebrating the Real Spirit of Real India

🟢 Jharkhand Janadhikar Mahasabha – Open Letter

“25 Years of Jharkhand – Who Gained, Who Lost?”

Ranchi ::Jharkhand is celebrating its 25th anniversary, yet the dreams of the Jharkhand movement seem farther away than ever before. On this occasion, the Jharkhand Janadhikar Mahasabha has issued an open letter addressed to all political leaders of the state. The statement holds the political class responsible for the current state of affairs and appeals to them to change their ways for the betterment of the people.

The Mahasabha has urged everyone to circulate and share this message widely.Together with other organizations, it will organize a “Jharkhandi Ekta Yatra” (Jharkhand Unity March) on 15 November 2025,📍 from Birsa Samadhi Sthal, Kokar, Ranchi to Albert Ekka Chowk,to remind people of the true dreams of the Jharkhand movement. All friends and well-wishers are invited to participate.

🔶 To All MLAs and Political Leaders of Jharkhand

On the 25th anniversary of Jharkhand,we write to express our deep disappointment with your work and conduct —and to appeal that you introspect and reform your approach.

✊ The Dream of the Jharkhand Movement
The creation of Jharkhand was the outcome of a long and historic struggle.People from all communities came together for this cause, and many sacrificed their lives to realize this dream.
Their vision was a Jharkhand where Adivasis and Moolvasiscould shape development based on their core values —freedom, equality, friendship, and harmony with nature. It was also meant to end the exploitation of local people by external forces.

⚠️ 25 Years Later – The Unfulfilled Dream
Twenty-five years later, that dream remains largely unfulfilled. While some sections of society are somewhat better off today, millions still live in poverty and deprivation.

The rich cultural heritage of Chotanagpur and Santhal Parganais under threat as powerful corporations eye its land, minerals, and natural resources.Proud Jharkhandi farmers are being turned into laborers, forced to migrate to overcrowded cities in search of survival.
If this continues, Jharkhand’s distinct identity will fade away —leaving little that sets it apart from the rest of India, except that it will be poorer than before.

🧾 The Political Class Is Responsible

For this decline, you – the political leaders of Jharkhand – are primarily responsible.Instead of drawing inspiration from the heroes of the Jharkhand movementand working for the people, you have aligned with exploiters for personal gain.

You have sold Jharkhand’s precious resources to greedy companies and businessmen,
while allowing the public education system to collapse. As a result, thousands of youth have been forced to become migrant laborers.

In collusion with corrupt contractors, you have looted MGNREGA funds, robbing the poor of their right to work.In 25 years, you have failed to frame rules for PESA,and you have allowed the CNT-SPT Acts and the Forest Rights Act to be repeatedly violated.

You have made money through massive contracts, yet basic amenities like drinking water, drainage, and footpaths remain missing even in the capital city, Ranchi.

⚔️ Politics of Division

Some of you have gone a step further —dividing Jharkhand’s people and inciting them against each other to strengthen your power.
One of the movement’s most popular slogans was:
“Dhan nahi, ekta sahi” (Not wealth, but unity is right).
Today, that unity has almost disappeared. When people are divided, the exploiters thrive.

🌅 Time for Change

Unless political leaders change their attitude and conduct, there is little hope for improvement.

We still see a few of you as allies of the people, and we hope that others will change course. But if you do not, the day is not far whenthe people of Jharkhand will reject you completely.

We look forward to the rise of a new generation of leadership —men and women who genuinely understand the pain of the peopleand work selflessly for their rights and dignity.

As for us, we will continue our struggle for change and justice in Jharkhand.
