Bokaro : Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha on Friday led the district administration in paying homage to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at Pattharkatta Chowk on his birth anniversary. The DC placed floral tributes at the statue and reflected on Nehru’s enduring legacy in shaping modern India.
Highlighting Nehru’s pivotal role in the freedom movement, DC Jha said that the first Prime Minister devoted his life to strengthening democratic values and building the foundation of an inclusive nation. He stressed that the younger generation must remember Nehru’s ideals and draw inspiration from his vision.
The DC noted Nehru’s contributions to education, scientific progress and his deep affection for children, calling his approach “a guiding force for India’s growth even today.”
DDC Shatabdi Majumdar and other officials joined the DC during the ceremony. Among those present were Additional Collector Md. Mumtaz Ansari, NDC Prabhash Dutta, DPRO Md. Shafique Alam, DLAO Dwarika Baitha and APRO Avinash Kumar Singh.
