Ahead of Jharkhand’s 25th Foundation Day, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha addressed a press conference at the Collectorate, detailing week-long celebrations from November 11 to 15 under the theme Jharkhand@25. Events will be organized across all nine blocks and 249 panchayats, showcasing the district’s cultural heritage, developmental progress, and public participation.
The celebration will begin on November 11 with a “Run for Jharkhand” and the flagging off of awareness vans. Panchayat-level prabhat pheris, special gram sabhas, and employment drives will follow. On November 12, under “Subah-e-Jharkhand”, housing scheme beneficiaries will receive approval letters, and 2,580 housewarming ceremonies will take place.
In the following days, cycling rallies, plantation drives, folk performances, and competitions will be organized. The main event on November 15 will feature the inauguration of Guruji Pathshalas and the felicitation of outstanding participants. The celebrations will conclude on November 16 with a media felicitation ceremony.
Responding to a question about the industrial city Bokaro, DC Jha said that maintaining a safe and disciplined working culture is the top priority. He emphasized that if any group or individuals have grievances or are planning agitation, they should first consult the district administration. “The administration is always open to dialogue and will assess matters wisely so that the interests of all stakeholders are protected judiciously,” he added.
DC Jha further appealed for collective participation, saying, “Our soil is our identity, and this celebration is a tribute to that bond.”
Deputy Development Commissioner Shatabdi Majumdar, DPRO Ravi Kumar, and District Sports Officer Hemlata Bun were also present during the conference
