Ranchi :: On the occasion of the birth anniversaries of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, a tribute program was organized today at Bapu Vatika, Morhabadi. On this occasion, Hon’ble Governor Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, and MLA Smt. Kalpana Soren offered floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
Hon’ble Governor Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar said that Mahatma Gandhi was the symbol of truth, non-violence, and humanity. His thoughts and principles gave a new direction to the entire world. Today is not only an inspiring day for India but for all of humanity. He added that Gandhi Ji’s life teaches us that simplicity, morality, and hard work devoted to public welfare are the true paths to follow. The Governor further said that we should walk on the path shown by Gandhi Ji and establish peace, harmony, and brotherhood in society.
Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren said that Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts, his message of non-violence, and his path of truth are still guiding lights for the country and the world. Gandhi Ji’s life is a golden chapter in India’s history. His teachings and principles not only gave a new direction to the freedom movement but also played a crucial role in strengthening democracy after independence. The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to adopt Bapu’s ideals in life with sincerity and contribute to strengthening peace, unity, and brotherhood in society.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also paid homage to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji on his birth anniversary. He said that Shastri Ji was a unique example of simplicity, honesty, and dedication. His slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” still inspires the people of the country. The Chief Minister further said that Shastri Ji’s life teaches us duty, patriotism, and public service, which, if adopted, can make Jharkhand and India stronger.
