Devotees Gather in Guru Nanak Satsang Sabha’s Morning Procession, Neighborhood Resonates with Hymns


Ranchi: On the occasion of the 556th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, the morning processions (Prabhat Feri) of Gurudwara Shri Guru Nanak Satsang Sabha began on Friday morning, filling Krishna Nagar Colony with devotion and spiritual chants.


Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru of the Sikh faith, came to the world to eradicate the darkness of ignorance. Commemorating this, devotees arrived at the Gurudwara at the break of dawn chanting “Jo Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal” and joined the morning procession at 5:30 a.m.


The procession started from the Darshani Diudi Gate of the Gurudwara and passed through Dayanesh Gaba, Sundar Das Midha, Dwarka Das Munjal lanes, Rishikesh Bhawan, Jeetu Kathpal, Om Prakash Bareja, Subhash Midha (Bashu), Laxman Arora, and Bhagat Singh Midha lanes, concluding at the Gurudwara parking gate at
7:50 a.m.


The kirtan team of the Satsang Sabha, including Sundar Das Midha, Jaspal Munjal, Inder Midha, Ramesh Papneja, Naveen Midha, Ashu Midha, Babli Dua, Geeta Kataria, Sheetal Munjal, Indu Papneja, Neeta Midha, Reshma Girdhar, Manjeet Kaur, and Babita Papneja, performed devotional hymns. Their singing of “Sukh Nidaan Preetam Prabh Mere Agnat Gun Thakur Prabh Tere…”, “Deen Dard Nivaar Thakur Rakhai Jan Ki Aap…”, and “Naam Adhaar Jeevan-Dhan Nanak Prabh Mere Kirpa Keejai…” filled the entire neighborhood with spiritual bliss.


At various points, the procession was welcomed with flower showers and fireworks. Sardar Chotu Singh led the Prabhat Feri carrying the Nishan Sahib, while Manish Midha offered prayers for the well-being of residents outside their homes. At the conclusion of the procession, devotees distributed tea and snacks as a communal langar within the Gurudwara premises.


Among the participants were Arjun Das Midha, Ashok Gera, Mohan Kathpal, Jeevan Midha, Mahendra Arora, Ashu Midha, Naveen Midha, Ramesh Tehri, Ramesh Girdhar, Rajendra Makkad, Harish Tehri, Bharat Gaba, Pankaj Midha, Basant Kathpal, Harvinder Singh, Prakash Girdhar, Gaurav Midha, Aman Dawra, Piyush Midha, Ishan Kathpal, Umesh Munjal, Gulshan Midha, Kamal Dhamiya, Kamal Munjal, Manish Girdhar, Suraj Jhandai, Raunak Grover, Gyan Madan Potra, Happy Arora, Vansh Dawra, Ricky Midha, Mukesh Munjal, Piyush Thareja, Jagdish Midha, Kailash Midha, Khushboo Midha, Harjinder Kaur, Usha Papneja, Mamta Thareja, Bimla Midha, Premi Kathpal, Neetu Kinger, Usha Jhandai, Rajni Kaur, Goonj Kathpal, Sushma Girdhar, Durgi Devi Midha, Rajni Tehri, Raj Kathpal, Rani Taleja, Simmi Midha, among others.


Naresh Papneja, the media in-charge of the Satsang Sabha, said that in order to maintain cleanliness and prevent littering, devotees are requested to deliver Prasad to the Gurudwara instead of distributing it in their lanes. The Prasad will be shared daily in the Pangat among the Sangat after the procession ends. He also mentioned that, with the support of former councilors, the streets along the procession route are cleaned daily and sprayed with bleaching powder to ensure hygiene.
