Delegates from Across the Country to Gather in Bagai cha — Deliberations on Tribal Issues





Ranchi: The National Coordination Committee (NCC) of the Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch (National Forum for Tribal Rights) will hold its two-day national meeting from October 30 at Bagai cha Hall, Namkum. The inaugural session will begin at 10 a.m.



The meeting will be attended by Jitendra Chaudhury, National President (former MP and Leader of Opposition, Tripura); Dr. Pulin Bihari Baskey, National Convener (former MP); Vice Presidents Brinda Karat and Dr. M. Baburao (both former MPs); National Co-convener Dulichand, and Treasurer Dilli Babu (former MLA). Members of the National Coordination Committee from Assam, Tripura, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Jharkhand will also participate.



The meeting will deliberate on the current political situation of the tribal communities and discuss burning issues such as land and forest rights, displacement, education, employment, and tribal self-governance. Strategies and future programmes to strengthen the tribal rights movement across the country will also be finalized.



Sukhnath Lohra, State Convener and Member of the National Coordination Committee, said, “The Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch has been consistently fighting for the protection of constitutional rights of the tribal people across India. This meeting will play a crucial role in setting the direction and priorities of the movement in the coming days.”



The meeting is also expected to adopt resolutions regarding the action plan for the upcoming year, mass campaigns, and strengthening of the organization at the state level.
