Ranchi, Jharkhand – The Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) [CPI(ML)] has called upon the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government to urgently take concrete steps toward enabling large-scale recruitment in the state. In a press statement, CPI(ML) State Secretary Manoj Bhakt expressed deep concern over the increasing trend of recruitment drives being stalled or canceled even before they begin.
Bhakt warned that both the central and state governments must take the rising frustration among Jharkhand's youth seriously. “Neglecting the growing anger among the state’s young population would be a grave mistake,” he said.
The party also demanded a special session of the state assembly to discuss the issues of employment and domicile policy. Recalling the disillusionment with the BJP’s “double-engine” government at the Centre and state, CPI(ML) pointed out that young voters had backed the Hemant government with the hope of better opportunities and fair policies.
Addressing the legal hurdles that often obstruct recruitment processes and the implementation of local employment policies, CPI(ML) urged the state government to consult qualified legal experts. “The BJP has repeatedly used these judicial constraints as a pretext to deny employment rights to the youth. It is now up to the Hemant government to present effective legal solutions,” said Bhakt.
He added that the cancellation of recruitment exams even after the declaration of results has become a recurring and demoralizing issue for aspirants across the state.
On the issues of migration and displacement, Bhakt remarked that these are eating away at the future of Jharkhand’s youth. According to CPI(ML), unless the laws related to local employment and reservation policies are implemented effectively, it will be impossible to break the vicious cycle of unemployment, migration, and systemic exclusion.
CPI(ML) also raised concerns about the increasing tensions between local youth and industrial establishments over job opportunities. The party criticized the state administration’s use of force against protesting youth as unjust and undemocratic. It demanded that the state government pressure industries operating in Jharkhand to prioritize the hiring of local candidates.
