Ranchi: Student and youth organisations have announced a massive march and Raj Bhavan gherao in Ranchi on July 6, demanding the rollback of the Cluster System, dissolution of the National Testing Agency (NTA), immediate recruitment against pending government vacancies, and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The announcement was made during a press conference on Friday.
The speakers alleged that recurring paper leaks and irregularities in competitive examinations have severely affected the future of lakhs of students across the country. They also opposed the implementation of the Cluster System in Jharkhand, describing it as an anti-student policy that would restrict access to higher education, particularly for students from rural, tribal, Dalit, backward and economically weaker sections.
The organisations demanded transparent and time-bound recruitment, a regular recruitment calendar, and a fair, accountable examination system. They also appealed to students, parents, teachers and civil society members to participate in the July 6 protest in support of quality education, employment opportunities and a transparent examination process.
The press conference was addressed by AISA State Secretary Triloki Nath, National OBC Student Morcha State President Kamlesh Choudhary, SFI leader Faizan Khan, AISA District President Vijay Kumar, District Secretary Sanjana Mehta and Sonali Kewat. Satyaprakash Kumar and Rohit Kumar were also present.
