AIRPPA Delegation Raises Employees’ Issues Before Chief PMG

Ranchi: A delegation of AIRPPA Jharkhand met the Chief PMG on May 19, 2026, and submitted a seven-point memorandum seeking resolution of various pending issues related to postal employees and pensioners. The delegation included State Secretary M.Z. Khan, State President Sadhan Kumar Sinha, K.D. Roy Vyathit, Treasurer W.P. T.N. Sahu and S.P. Mandal.

The memorandum highlighted issues related to induction training, postman upgradation, settlement of family pension cases, payment of DR arrears in the light of DoP office memorandums dated October 11,2012 and June 25, 2013, issuance of HBA-related NOC after retirement, migration from NPS to UPS and notional increment cases for June 30 and December 31 retirees.

The delegation informed the Chief PMG that despite clear instructions issued by the Department of Posts, DR and arrear payments were not being made on time. The Chief PMG assured the delegation that necessary action would be taken. It was agreed during the meeting that the concerned office memorandums would be circulated among all divisional offices of Jharkhand Circle to ensure timely payment of DR and arrears.

Four family pension cases pending for the last two to three years due to non-receipt of vigilance clearance were also discussed during the meeting. The delegation argued that vigilance clearance is not mandatory in family pension cases. Agreeing with the delegation’s view, the Chief PMG directed the AD (Staff) to ensure action as per rules.

Director, AD (Staff) and AAO Pension were also present during the meeting, which continued for more than an hour.
