Bokaro Steel Plant Sets New Records in FY 2025–26 Across Production and Dispatch
Bokaro, April 1: Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) delivered a stellar performance in FY 2025–26, setting new benchmarks in production, dispatch and operations. Key units recorded their best-ever outputs across multiple periods.
Crude steel production reached 1.163 million tonnes, HR coil output stood at 4.267 million tonnes, and total saleable steel touched 4.56 million tonnes. The plant also achieved its highest-ever dispatch of 4.60 million tonnes.
Operationally, SMS-New set a record with 465 heats in slab casting, while core units improved efficiency. Year-on-year growth remained strong, with crude steel up by 12.9% and saleable steel by 18.1%.
The plant also advanced in product diversification and sustainability initiatives, alongside strengthening digital safety systems.
Director In-Charge Priya Ranjan credited the workforce for the achievement and emphasized continued focus on capacity enhancement, quality and uncompromised safety in the coming year.
