Month-long programmes from April 1 to 29 to boost development and public participation
Bokaro, April 1: The Bokaro Foundation Festival was inaugurated on Wednesday at Jaika Happenings Auditorium, Camp II, with Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha and Deputy Development Commissioner Shatabdi Majumdar jointly releasing balloons.
The festival, scheduled from April 1 to 29, will feature a series of cultural, social, educational and sports activities aimed at enhancing public participation and accelerating development initiatives across the district.
Addressing the occasion, the DC described the festival as a step towards holistic development and directed all departments to prepare action plans for FY 2026–27 with effective monitoring. He emphasized priority areas including safety, education, healthcare and infrastructure, ensuring last-mile delivery of schemes.
During interaction with media, the DC stated that the formation of a Press Club in Bokaro is moving in a positive direction and will soon take a concrete shape, strengthening communication between the administration and the media.
