DIC Priya Ranjan’s Vision Takes Shape as BSL to Organise First-Ever Food Street in Bokaro on March 22

Food, Culture and Community to Come Together at Sector-4 Road Connecting Gandhi Chowk and Bokaro Mall

Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) is set to organise a one-day “Food Street” event on March 22, 2026 (Sunday) for city residents. The event will be held on the main road connecting Gandhi Chowk in Sector-4 to Bokaro Mall, offering a unique blend of food, culture and entertainment. The formal inauguration is scheduled around 5:00 pm.

Being organised for the first time by BSL, the initiative aims to add vibrancy to the social and cultural life of Bokaro Steel City. Various food stalls will be set up featuring local delicacies along with popular cuisines from different parts of the country, allowing visitors to enjoy traditional Jharkhand flavours as well as dishes from other regions.

Notably, since assuming charge, Director In-Charge Priya Ranjan had been keen on introducing the concept of a Food Street in Bokaro to create a lively public space where residents could experience diverse cuisines and community interaction.

Known as a “Mini India”, Bokaro Steel City reflects rich cultural diversity with people from different states living and working together. The Food Street is expected to showcase this diversity through its range of cuisines while also providing a platform for local entrepreneurs and food vendors to present their offerings, creating a festive evening for residents and families.
