New civic leadership pledges clean governance, faster development and transparent administration
Bokaro, March 17: The newly elected Mayor of Chas, Bholu Paswan, was administered the oath of office on Tuesday by District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, formally ushering in the new municipal leadership.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of public trust, urging the elected leadership to ensure visible progress in civic services, sanitation, and infrastructure development with transparency and efficiency.
After taking oath, Mayor Paswan stated that his priority would be to work collectively with councillors to build a cleaner, better-managed, and progressive city, while ensuring swift grievance redressal and accountable governance.
Councillors from all 35 wards also took oath, reflecting a unified commitment towards city development. The programme was attended by Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh, SDO Pranjal Dhanda, BDO Pradeep Kumar, and other officials.
