The district administration has issued an alert after cyber fraudsters created a fake Facebook account in the name of Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha and circulated misleading and suspicious posts.
The administration clarified that this is a case of cyber fraud and appealed to the public not to trust any messages, posts, or calls seeking money or offering inducements through fake social media accounts or unknown phone numbers in the DC’s name.
It was informed that the Deputy Commissioner has only two Facebook accounts:

Personal Facebook ID: https://www.facebook.com/share/17qEvFat7Q/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Any other Facebook account created in his name is completely fake.
The administration also stated that the official contact number of the Deputy Commissioner is 9470526005. Citizens have been advised to immediately block such fake accounts and not to open or share any suspicious messages, posts, or links.
The matter has been reported to the cyber police, and investigation is underway. Legal action is being taken against those involved. People facing misuse of personal information or financial loss may lodge complaints on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or contact their nearest police station.
