Ranchi/Bundu:Under a nationwide programme, the Students’ Federation of India (SFI), Panch Pargana unit, observed Mahatma Gandhi’s Martyrdom Day with solemnity and respect at Panch Pargana Kisan College, Bundu. The programme was organised under the guidance of the college’s Cultural Committee.
The event began with floral tributes and the lighting of a ceremonial lamp before the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi by Dr. Aradhana Tiwari, Coordinator of the Cultural Committee. On the occasion, former Central Committee member of SFI Ranjit Kumar Modak and Aman Kumar spoke about the life, ideals and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, while also acquainting students with the role and objectives of the organisation.
Following this, a quiz competition was organised for students, in which a total of 35 students participated, forming six groups. All participating students were awarded certificates by the college, while the groups securing first, second and third positions were honoured with trophies and medals.
In the competition, the Nehru Group secured first place and was awarded the trophy, medals and certificates by Dr. Aradhana Tiwari. The Sidhu-Kanhu Group secured second place and was honoured by Dr. Arvind Sahu and Dr. Tarit Sanga, while the Chandrashekhar Group secured third place and was awarded by Dr. Lakhindra Munda.
The programme was made successful with the active support of Cultural Committee members Dr. Lakhindra Munda, Dr. Arvind Sahu, Dr. Tarit Sanga, Mr. Kalyan Roy, along with students and SFI joint conveners Khushboo Kumari, Diya Chandra Dev, Jagmohan Munda, Suraj Arjun, Baby Sonali and Aman.
The programme was conducted by Sonali and Khushboo, while the vote of thanks was delivered by District In-charge Aman.
