Ranchi: On the occasion of World Disability Day today, a joint delegation of the "Lahu Bolega" Blood Donation Organization, Ranchi, and the Jharkhand Thalassemia Patients Association visited the Jharkhand Assembly. The delegation presented a 14-point written memorandum on behalf of thalassemia patients and their families, a 19-point memorandum on blood donation issues, and a 3-point memorandum on disability issues to the Honorable Speaker, Shri Ravindranath Mahto.
The Speaker listened to the delegation carefully and assured them that all issues concerning thalassemia patients and blood donation would receive the necessary attention and action. He said, “I have personally witnessed the pain of thalassemia patients and their families. Assistance was also provided for bone marrow transplants in Delhi. I will discuss these matters with the Secretary as well.”
Following this, the delegation met with Shri Pradeep Yadav, Leader of the Jharkhand Congress Legislative Party, at his Ranchi residence to discuss the memoranda.
The delegation included Nadeem Khan, Powell Kumar, Baroyan Suranjan Bada, Reena Suchitra Toppo, Ajit Kumar Mishra, Jaynath Mahto, Bimla Kachhap, Vinod Baitha, Zilani Ansari, Naimullah Khan, Akram, Buland, and other members.
