Raghunath Birua from West Singhbhum Becomes a United Nations Volunteer




Ranchi/Chaibasa:Raghunath Birua, a young resident of the Manjhari block in West Singhbhum district, has been selected as a
United Nations Volunteer (UNV).
He will serve as a volunteer under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).




It is noteworthy that Raghunath Birua is a permanent resident of Bada-Lagda village under the Manjhari block of West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand. He belongs to the Ho tribal community and is currently pursuing his PhD in History as a research scholar in Bhubaneswar.



He completed his postgraduate studies in History from the Department of History at Kolhan University. He has also qualified the UGC-NET examination twice in History. In addition, he has worked on national-level research projects, including studies on tribal migration from West Singhbhum.
