Bokaro Steel City, December 19, 2025:
Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) on Thursday hosted a two-day National Head of Projects (HOP) Meet of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), aimed at accelerating project execution and supporting capacity expansion.
Senior project executives from SAIL’s corporate office, steel plants, mines, and units across the country took part. The meet opened with a Safety Oath, highlighting SAIL’s focus on safe project implementation. Anish Sengupta, Executive Director (Projects), BSL, welcomed the delegates.
The meet was attended by Subrata Mukhopadhyay, ED In-Charge (Projects), and Executive Directors from Bhilai, Durgapur, IISCO, Rourkela, CET, Mines, and SRU. From BSL, Executive Directors Priya Ranjan (Works), Anup Kumar Dutta (Operations), Rajshree Banerjee (HR), C. R. Mishra (MM), and B. B. Karunamay (M&HS) were present.
Addressing the gathering online, Alok Verma, Director-in-Charge, Rourkela Steel Plant and Link Director for BSL, stressed that timely project completion is vital to meeting SAIL’s production and expansion targets.
Deliberations focused on reviewing past decisions, resolving pending issues by March 2026, and strengthening digital project monitoring through DPMS-SAP integration to improve transparency and efficiency.
