Bokaro, November 12, 2025:
Under the ongoing safety awareness campaign, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) organised a special human chain along Plant Plaza Road to promote a stronger safety culture among employees and make safety an integral part of workplace behaviour.
Executive Director (Works) Priya Ranjan graced the occasion and urged everyone to make individual and collective efforts towards ensuring a safe working environment. He emphasised that safety should not be limited to rules but must become a way of life at the workplace.
The event saw participation from B.K. Sartape, Chief General Manager (Safety & Fire Services), safety officers from various departments, personnel from the Safety Engineering Department, contract supervisors, and a large number of workers. Participants carried placards and banners with safety messages and slogans, spreading awareness about responsibility and alertness both on roads and within the plant premises.
To further strengthen safety management, BSL has designated three non-executive employees to work alongside each departmental safety officer, ensuring active involvement in implementing and monitoring safety measures.
Reinforcing its core value of “Safety First,” BSL continues to promote a culture where every employee becomes an active participant in achieving the goal of a ‘Zero Accident Workplace.’
