Chief Minister Hemant Soren donates blood, inaugurates state-wide Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign
Ranchi:: On the occasion of Jharkhand’s 25th Foundation Day, the state government has taken a major step towards turning the message “Let Blood Donation Become a People’s Movement” into reality. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren inaugurated the Statewide Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign by donating blood himself at a Mega Blood Donation Camp organized at the Jharkhand Secretariat today.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said, “The blood you donate can save a life. Blood donation is the greatest act of humanity, and it is our collective responsibility to make it a mass movement.” He appealed to the people of the state to actively participate in the campaign, which will run across Jharkhand from November 12 to November 28.
The Campaign Aims to Make Jharkhand the Center of ‘Life Donation’
The Chief Minister said that the 25th Foundation Day of Jharkhand symbolizes new energy, service, and compassion. The Department of Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare is organizing blood donation camps across the state to ensure that no patient loses their life due to a shortage of blood in hospitals.
He emphasized that blood donation is a social responsibility, and everyone should contribute to making Jharkhand a “life-giving state.”

Several ministers and senior officials were present on the occasion, including Minister Shri Radha Krishna Kishore, Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari, Minister Shri Hafizul Hasan, Minister Shri Yogendra Prasad Mahato, Minister Shri Sudivya Kumar, Minister Smt. Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Chief Secretary Shri Avinash Kumar, and Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Shri Ajay Kumar Singh.
