Ranchi: Hon’ble Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly and Chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), Jharkhand Branch, Shri Rabindranath Mahto, has arrived in Barbados to participate in the 68th CPA Conference. Shri Naveen Jaiswal, a member from Jharkhand, is also part of the delegation accompanying the Hon’ble Speaker.
The Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference is being held from 5th to 12th October 2025 in Bridgetown, Barbados. The main theme of the conference is “The Commonwealth: A Global Partner.” During the conference, discussions will focus on major challenges such as the global democracy crisis, technological changes, climate change, social inequalities, and other parliamentary issues.
The conference has commenced with an inaugural ceremony, and various workshops are scheduled throughout the event. Hon’ble Speaker Shri Rabindranath Mahto will also deliver a lecture on parliamentary matters during the conference.
