On the occasion of Diwali, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Ajay Nath Jha extended warm greetings and best wishes to all residents of the district, expressing hope that the festival will bring health, happiness, peace, and prosperity to everyone’s lives.
He appealed to citizens to light traditional earthen lamps, use eco-friendly green crackers, and celebrate the festival with cleanliness, harmony, and mutual respect. The DC emphasized that protecting the environment and maintaining peace during celebrations reflect the true spirit of Diwali.
DC Jha also urged people to remain alert and vigilant during the festivities and to report any suspicious activity or person to the District Control Room (06542-223475) or Police Helpline (112/100).
He said Diwali is not just a festival of lights but also of unity, safety, and positive energy, calling on everyone to celebrate responsibly and spread happiness across the community.
