Ranchi :: A review meeting was convened at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Hemant Sati to assess revenue collection and departmental schemes.
At the outset, the Commercial Tax Department reported that against the annual target of ₹9,051.00 lakh, revenue collection so far stands at ₹2,486.34 lakh, achieving 27.47% of the target. The Excise Department informed that it has collected ₹1,670.00 lakh, reaching 24.57% of its target. The Transport Department recorded better performance by collecting ₹2,591.38 lakh, covering 25.54% of its annual target.
The Motor Vehicle Inspector’s office reported revenue of ₹27.07 lakh, achieving 11.69% of its target. Among urban local bodies, Sahibganj Municipal Council collected 28.16% against its target of ₹847.86 lakh, while Rajmahal Nagar Panchayat achieved 76.50% of its target. Similarly, the Weights and Measures Department and the Fisheries Department both achieved 28.10% of their targets. The Electricity Board collected ₹2,715.90 lakh, surpassing 27.51% of its target.
The meeting also reviewed issues related to land revenue, land rent, mutation, settlement, GM land regularization, and land acquisition cases for the month of June.
Deputy Commissioner Hemant Sati instructed officials to ensure transparency and efficiency in all processes related to revenue collection so that the benefits of government schemes can reach the public on time.
The meeting was attended by Sahibganj Sub-Divisional Officer Amar John Aind, Rajmahal Sub-Divisional Officer Sadanand Mahato, Transport Officer Mithilesh Kumar Choudhary, District Mining Officer Krishna Kumar Kisku, Block Development Officers, and all Circle Officers.
