Jharkhand Armed Police Regional Shooting Competition Kicks Off in Bokaro

Bokaro, Sept 18: The four-day Jharkhand Armed Police Regional Shooting Competition-2025 began on Thursday at JAP-4 Ground, Sector-12, Bokaro Steel City. The event was inaugurated by Chandan Kumar Jha, DIG (CID), Ranchi, who released balloons to mark the occasion.

The opening ceremony was attended by DIG CRPF Amit Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, SP Harvinder Singh, CISF Commandant Ravindra Kumar Mil, CRPF Commandant Rajeev Ranjan Singh, retired DIG Jitendra Kumar Singh and JAP-4 Commandant Shambhu Kumar Singh, along with senior officials from police and administration.

The competition, involving teams from different Jharkhand Police units, is aimed at improving marksmanship, discipline, physical endurance and team spirit among security personnel. Addressing the gathering, DIG Jha highlighted that such events not only hone professional skills but also build mental resilience and operational readiness in areas like crime control and anti-naxal duties.


DC Ajay Nath Jha said such activities boost confidence, strengthen operational preparedness and foster team spirit among security personnel. 

Notably the contests will continue for four days before concluding with a prize distribution ceremony.
