Foundation Laid for Bar Council Buildings in Khunti, Chaibasa, and Chandil in the Presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Chief Justice

                       


Ranchi (Khunti):The foundation stone for Bar Council buildings (Bar Bhavans) in Khunti, Chaibasa, and Chandil was ceremoniously laid on Tuesday in the gracious presence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan. The main ceremony took place in Khunti, where the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone in person, while the Bar Bhavans in Chaibasa and Chandil were inaugurated virtually.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that although the event may appear symbolic or small in scale, its significance is vast. He emphasized that a strong infrastructure is essential for improving the justice delivery system, and the state government is actively working in this direction. He added that the government's vision is to build clean, modern, and well-organized Bar Bhavans in all districts of Jharkhand to provide better working conditions for advocates.

Over ₹132 Crore Sanctioned for Construction in 24 Districts and 7 Subdivisions

The Chief Minister informed that a total of approximately ₹132.84 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of Bar Bhavans across 24 districts and 7 subdivisions in the state. Housing facilities for judicial officers and staff are also being made available as part of this initiative.

Jharkhand: The First State to Provide Pension for Advocates

He further highlighted that Jharkhand is the first state in the country to introduce a pension scheme for advocates. In addition, the government is also offering health insurance and stipends to legal practitioners. He reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening the judicial system and resolving the infrastructural issues of court premises on priority.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the foundation laying of these Bar Bhavans from the sacred land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda would prove to be a milestone in strengthening the state's judicial system.
