Deputy Commissioner Reviews Development Works in Sundarpahari, Inaugurates Balwadi Centre


RANCHI:Godda Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Anjali Yadav, conducted a comprehensive inspection tour across various areas of the Sundarpahari block, reviewing development projects and issuing key directives to local authorities and implementing agencies.
The visit began with the inauguration of a Balwadi Centre in village Pakedi (Dahoobeda), developed under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The center aims to provide a safe, nurturing, and enabling environment for young children, fostering early childhood education through engaging activities.
Addressing the gathering, DC Anjali Yadav said, “Balwadi Centres are a crucial facility for children in rural areas. These centres not only contribute to the holistic development of children but also play a vital role in connecting and empowering the community at large. This initiative will benefit both children and women in the region.”


During her visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected several educational institutions, including the Upgraded Middle School Chaparbitha, Upgraded High School at Kairojari (Rampur), and Upgraded Middle School at Kairojari (Rampur). She interacted with school principals, reviewed the infrastructure, teaching environment, availability of clean drinking water, toilet facilities, electricity, and cleanliness. She also engaged with students, assessing their knowledge in mathematics, general awareness, and basic education.
As part of the tour, the DC visited Jeetpur Panchayat and inspected a dobha (small water reservoir) constructed under the MGNREGA scheme. She reviewed the quality of the work and instructed that all pending projects be completed at the earliest.
The Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Health & Wellness Centre) was also part of the inspection. The DC reviewed OPD operations, doctor availability, diagnostic services, stock of medicines, equipment condition, and overall hygiene. She stressed on optimal utilization of human resources and directed staff to ensure high-quality healthcare services for patients every day.
In another significant stop, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Water Treatment Plant in Sundarpahari, which is being developed to ensure access to clean drinking water in the region. “This plant will be a milestone in solving the water crisis and improving the overall health and sanitation standards of the community,” she said, while instructing that the project be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The inspection concluded with a visit to the Sundarpahari Block-cum-Circle Office, where the DC reviewed the progress of various schemes and programs. She directed officials to accelerate work on pending files and ensure timely delivery of public services.
Several key officials were present during the visit, including Block Head of Sundarpahari Mrs. Pramila Tudu, Block Development Officer Mrs. Monika Baskey, Circle Officer Mr. Prakash Besra, and senior representatives from Teri Mining Pvt. Ltd. – Project GM Mr. Ritesh Kumar Tiwari, HR Head Mr. Ashwini Dubey, Secretary Head Mr. Satish Chandra, Land Head Mr. Sadanand Singh, and CSR Officer Mr. Sarbjit Moni. Officials from DMFT, including Team Lead Mr. Anik Kumar Singh, Project Officer Mr. Pranav Kumar, Civil Engineer Mr. Abdullah, and various block staff were also in attendance.
