Celebrating the Real Spirit of Real India

Bhagat Singh’s ideology continues to guide people’s struggles today” – Prakash Viplav

Ranchi:: On the occasion of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) organized a memorial meeting today at Safdar Hashmi Auditorium, Ranchi. The program was presided over by the Party’s State Secretary, Comrade Prakash Viplav.

In his presidential address, Prakash Viplav said:

“Bhagat Singh was not just a warrior who fought against British imperialism, but also a farsighted thinker. The revolution he envisioned was not limited to driving the British out of the country; it was a revolution to build a society free from exploitation, based on equality and justice. Today, when the working masses, farmers, and laborers are struggling against exploitation and injustice, Bhagat Singh’s ideology becomes even more relevant. His thoughts teach us that true freedom will only be achieved when every form of inequality and injustice is eradicated.”

“Bhagat Singh was a staunch supporter of reason, science, and socialism. His life’s goal was to free society from the shackles of religion and superstition, and to advance towards rationality and equality. To fulfill his dreams today, workers, peasants, youth, and students must unite and struggle together. Those who sacrifice for society never truly die—their martyrdom gives life to the people.”

During the meeting, Comrade Sudhanshu Shekhar presented Bhagat Singh’s historic quotes and reflected on the depth of his thoughts. On this occasion, Bhagat Singh’s immortal words were recalled, highlighting their continued relevance.    He said:

“The sword of revolution is sharpened on the whetting stone of ideas.”

“Revolution does not necessarily mean bloodshed. The revolution of ideas is the greatest revolution.”

“The struggle of revolution is not just to drive the British away, but to abolish the system where one person exploits another.”

“Religion binds man, while science sets him free.”

“The youth who does not dedicate himself to the service of the nation and society, his youth is wasted.”

A large number of comrades attended the program. Prominent among them were Secretariat member Comrade Sameer Das, District Secretary Comrade Prafull Linda, State Committee member Comrade Amal Pandey, CITU’s Comrade Prateek Mishra, senior comrade Prakash Toppo, Comrade Sumant Sahu, along with many other activists.
