Ranchi: The Students' Federation of India (SFI) and the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) on Wednesday organized a protest rally in support of the ongoing agitation by JPSC and JSSC aspirants in Ranchi. The rally began from Ranchi University campus and culminated at Albert Ekka Chowk, where a public meeting was held under the chairmanship of Budhram Oraon.
Addressing the gathering, SFI leaders Danish, Aman, Sonali and Ojaswi Raj said that the demands of the JPSC-JSSC aspirants are genuine and called for a transparent, fair and accountable recruitment process. They emphasized that the future of thousands of young job seekers should not be compromised.
DYFI State Convener Mohan Mandal alleged that the state government's silence over the ongoing protest at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium has raised serious concerns. He urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to immediately initiate dialogue with the protesting students. Mandal also demanded cancellation of the JPSC Preliminary
Examination and its re-conduct through a transparent process. He further called for the constitution of a high-level committee to investigate all JPSC and JSSC examinations conducted since 2001 and take legal action against those found responsible for alleged irregularities.
Former SFI leader Ranjit Modak said that education and employment are fundamental rights of every youth. He stressed that increasing inequality in access to education has made transparency in examinations and recruitment processes essential to ensure equal
opportunities for all sections of society. He described the ongoing agitation as a movement to safeguard the future of students and youth across Jharkhand.
The speakers expressed solidarity with the protesting aspirants and urged the state government to begin talks without delay. They warned that if the government failed to address the demands, the movement would be intensified in the coming days.
Among those present were DYFI Ranchi district secretary Kapil Mahto, Amit Munda, Kirti Singh Munda, Vikas Singh Munda, Ashish Kumar Sinha, Uttam Mandal, Karan Chakraborty, Bigal Oraon and hundreds of students, youth and activists.
